Another Hollowborn circle answered the growing darkness with primal rites and wilderness guardians.
Ancient beings of ocean and northern water endured apart from the wars, their true origin still uncertain.
The First Sundering
The wars erased more than they preserved.
Magical ambition, supernatural hunger, and desperate resistance consumed settlements and scattered knowledge. Entire communities vanished. Countless secrets disappeared, leaving later generations to inherit consequences whose beginnings they could no longer prove.
The Age of Concord
Survival required a common promise.
Centuries of conflict taught the surviving lineages that victory for one could still bring ruin to all. Each public supernatural disaster increased Hearthborn fear and brought exposure closer.
Representatives gathered to establish shared law, peaceful judgment, and collective responsibility for the Veil. The agreement became the Concord.
Open warfare grew rare—not because every rivalry ended, but because everyone finally understood the cost.
